It’s an electro-chemical process for the finishing of aluminum alloys of very widespread in mechanical field. The aims of this treatment are multiple. Mistakenly it’s common belief that anodization improves only corrosion resistance of treated pieces. It’s a very sturdy protective treatment for carbon steel alloys where the artifact is immersed in a tank of melt zinc at 840F°.
